THE EXCURSIONS

Visit to the Boza y Solís house where the heroine María Parado de Bellido was imprisoned. We pass through the interior of the Santo Domingo and Santa Teresa churches. The arcades of Alameda Valdelirios and Acuchimay viewpoint we will see later. From the viewpoint we enjoy the view of Ayacucho. We will know the typical crafts of the area and learn about the elaboration: Loom and embroidery. The elaboration of the Ayachano altarpiece, the stone carvings of Huamanga and the tables of Sarhua cannot be missing.

Duration of the tour: 5 hours (between 15.30 h and 20.30 h)

Tour to the Wari archaeological complex, the Wari Site Museum, the Stones of Vaticionio, the main temple, the mausoleum and the burial chamber. Then we continue to Quinua, the town of great artisans where they make pottery. In the Pampa de Ayacucho we visited a very important stage. On December 9, 1824 in the Pampa de Quinua the famous battle of Ayacucho took place with the last great confrontation of the war of independence of Peru and Latin America.

In the morning we visit the small Puyas de Raimondi forest near the town of San Antonio de Manallasaq. This plant blooms at 100 years. From there we go south to the Pumacocha Lagoon. Around it we will see the Torreón del Inca, the Baños del Inca and Acllawasi. Then we continue to the city of Vilcashuamán where a tour of the center awaits us and then we know the archaeological zone with the Ushno, the Temple of the Sun and the Moon and the Palace of the Inca.

This tour is an excursion to the Huanta Valley - known as "The Beautiful Emerald of the Andes". On the way we visit the Pikimachay cave where the oldest man in South America lived (the walk to the cave takes us 40 minutes). Later we go through the colonial bridge of Ayahuarcuna. In Huanta we visit its attractions such as the Occochaca Waterfall, the Main Square, the San Pedro Temple, the Bishop of Piedra and we will also taste jams, delicacies, liqueurs, pisco macerate in Andean herbs, honey and their derivatives.

Altarpiece from Ayacucho

We visit the beautiful natural pools of turquoise water and enjoy the incredible landscape of the hidden gem that this beautiful place offers us. We will observe the canyon with the pools of different shapes and sizes, the waterfalls and the water hole. We went down to near the pools, but we did not enter the water, because it is prohibited under an ordinance.

Duration: 8.00 h - 20.00 h

Only possible between May and Dicembre, because in the raining season the pools did not have the turquoise colours.

Our service for all tours includes: Transfers (airport or bus terminal), pick up from the hotel for all excursions, night at the hotel including breakfast, all entrances, shared tour with a Spanish-speaking guide (guide in English on request two weeks before the tour).

Our service does not include lunch or dinner during the tour.
